JACK CIVILETTO - BMHOF CLASS OF 2009
Jack Civiletto is a distinguished singer and musician who started playing guitar at the age of
17. In the 1970s, he became a member of the Southern Rock band Peer Pressure Project.
Subsequently, he established his own blues band, Win, Lose or Draw, which had the honor of performing alongside the renowned B.B. King. Later in his career, Jack performed with the Heptones and served as a founding member of the Western New York chapter of the Blues Society, where he played a significant role in revitalizing blues music in the Buffalo area.
Jack's performances aa a singer of American Standards have consistently engaged audiences with renditions of classic songs by Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, and Michael Bublé, effectively fostering a strong connection with listeners. He demonstrated versatility by tailoring his shows to suit different venues: performing solo with music tracks for smaller spaces, with a piano trio for larger gatherings, and with the 9 to 18-piece Pyramid Band for special events, integrating big band and swing music into his repertoire.
As a highly regarded performer, Jack has been a frequent presence in restaurants, nightclubs, and private events throughout Western New York, delivering memorable experiences at weddings and corporate functions. His collaborations with vocalist April Mazzone have created a diverse musical experience, appealing to a wide audience. Jack has been recognized with multiple Buffalo Music
Awards and was inducted into the Buffalo Music Hall of Fame in 2009, solidifying his status as a prominent figure in the local music community.
With four albums to his credit, he has showcased his talents as a songwriter. In 2002, he garnered national recognition by securing third place in the North American Rock Guitar Competition, affirming his reputation as a skilled player. Ina variety of impressive ways, Jack Civiletto has
