RON DAVIS - BMHOF CLASS OF 2000
Ron Davis a.k.a. LeeRon Zydeco is a professionalkeyboardist/accordionist/ vocalist/composer and band leader who has performed for over 40 years.
He has played with The Four Tops, Otis Rush, Spencer Davis, King Bisquit Boy, Sean Costello, Gary Mallaber, Vinne Amico (.moe), Darren Shearer (the New Deal), Terrence Higgins (Dirty Dozen Brass Band) and more. He has played and recorded with legendary local area bands such as Posse. Blue Ox Band, Argyle Street Band, Willie Haddath and Barbara St.Clair.
He formed LeeRon Zydeco & the Hot Tamales in 1993 bringing authentic Zydeco/Cajun sounds to the Western New York area and beyond.
He currently leads LeeRon Zydeco as well as The Ronnie Davis Combo that specializes insoul jazz and funk. He was voted "Best Blues Keyboardist" for many years in The Buffalo Music Awards before his induction into the Buffalo Music Hall of Fame in 2000.
Davis developed and taught an American Roots Music course at SUNY Empire State College and conducts edu-tainment workshops in schools on an independent basis as well as for Music is Art.
He is married with three children and resides in Amherst, NY.
