DODO GREENE - BMHOF CLASS OF 1997

After a successful career at Buffalo clubs, Dodo moved to NYC in 1959 where she joined Cab Calloway's Broadway production of "Cotton Comes to Harlem" at the Winter Garden Theatre. This was followed by 25 years of appearances in The Catskills, NYC and Europe. During this time she was the first female artist to release an album on Blue Note Records. 

She returned to Buffalo with thoughts of retirement, but teamed up with the late Joe Madison at The Blue Note an other clubs. Now in her early 70's, Dodo appears every Friday and Saturday at The Anchor Bar and her Blue Note recording "My Hour of Need" has been released on CD is receiving airplay on jazz stations nationwide.
